This interactive masterclass provides UK employers with a practical understanding of their legal obligations to prevent illegal working, including how to conduct right to work checks, and manage these issues in the context of TUPE transfers, and avoiding discrimination claims. The masterclass also helps employers consider the implications of reforms, including extending checks to workers, not just employees. Attendees will be given the opportunity to share their own experiences and have their particular questions answered.
This workshop will include:
• An employer’s obligation to prevent illegal working
• Sanctions for employers
• How to conduct a right to work check
• Checks and TUPE
• Avoiding discriminations claims
• Preparing for reforms
