This course is designed to build confident, fair, and effective interviewers by focusing on the skills that truly make a difference in hiring decisions. Participants will explore the impact of good versus poor questioning and learn how to use effective interviewing techniques to gain meaningful insights from candidates.
The programme covers essential legal do’s and don’ts to help protect both the organisation and the interviewer, while highlighting the real business costs and risks associated with a bad hire. Learners will be introduced to a practical interviewing checklist to support consistency and preparation, and will develop greater awareness of both conscious and unconscious bias in interviewing and selection. The course also provides hands-on guidance in using structured and unstructured interview approaches, including the STAR method, to support objective, fair, and well-informed hiring decisions.
This course is suitable for all individuals involved in the hiring and selection process.
